Cereal

At Leo's 4 month check up, the pediatrician gave us the green light to start him on rice cereal. We had noticed him following our food from our plates to our mouths while he sits with us at dinner time, and making chewing motions with his mouth while watching people eat, so we thought perhaps these were signs of readiness.

Needless to say, he gagged and spit the cereal out, so we'll be waiting a while longer.

I attended a baby food making party where I made purees of green beans, peas, squash and blueberries with my Beaba Babycook, and I am so excited to watch Leo experience new foods, but alas, he has other plans, I guess.

It seems like every week Leo has a new favorite sound to make. This is him at dinner on Easter making his latest noise - a screechy dinosaur sound. Yay for me finally figuring out how to get videos up here - I've been trying now for months!

This week's weather has been all over the place!

Monday - 75 degrees (Watching his diapers go round and round in the washing machine, getting kisses from Mauri - no, I do not condone this. Oh and sorry about my dirty socks in the background.)





Wednesday - 55 degrees



Today - Snowing! (Getting ready to go to the doctor's)



Leo had his 4 month check up today. His weight is 14.5 lbs - 35th percentile. His length is 26 and a quarter inches - 88th percentile!

He had to get shots, which made him red and angry. He yelled at the nurse.

While my mom was here we took Leo to Park Meadows to meet the Easter Bunny. He didn't really know what to think of him. He was mostly just confused about why Mommy and Grandma were standing really far away and making weird faces.

Today at dinner Leo learned how to make a new face!

Leo remembered how to roll over again today! Of course, as soon as I ran downstairs to get the video camera, he refused to do it anymore. His new trick is getting into "crawl position" and moving around in a circle. It's very cute.

I tried to get him to roll over again this afternoon for Vin, but he just did his spin-in-a-circle trick. Oh well.
