A lil ketchup...

Oh my goodness! I apologize for being the world's worst blogger! We went to New York, and while there I found out I got a part-time job, which led us to start searching for a nanny, so as soon as we got home from NYC I spent all of my free time interviewing nannies, meanwhile sleep training Leo.... whew!

Needless to say - today we hired an AWESOME nanny and Leo is now sleeping through the night for the first time EVER, so hopefully I'll have a spare second or two to get back on here.

Leo had his 6 month well baby exam on Tuesday. He weighs 16 lbs 15 oz (33rd percentile) is 27.5 inches long (79th percentile) and ready for 2 meals of solids a day!

So far his favorites are pears and mangoes. He absolutely HATES anything green.

I will update a bit more soon, and leave you with these photos of today's semi-milestone: Leo on his hands and knees for the first time, rocking back and forth! Babyproofing here we come!

This week's weather has been all over the place!

Monday - 75 degrees (Watching his diapers go round and round in the washing machine, getting kisses from Mauri - no, I do not condone this. Oh and sorry about my dirty socks in the background.)

Wednesday - 55 degrees

Today - Snowing! (Getting ready to go to the doctor's)

Leo had his 4 month check up today. His weight is 14.5 lbs - 35th percentile. His length is 26 and a quarter inches - 88th percentile!

He had to get shots, which made him red and angry. He yelled at the nurse.

Now that evidence has come out that autism is not linked to vaccinations, we have decided to put Leo on a regular vaccination schedule. It's less pokes for him and less co-payments for us, so it's a win-win!

He had to get 4 separate shots today to catch him up. He was such a brave boy! He got very mad, but within 30 seconds of cuddling with Mama he was just fine. I think I was more traumatized than he was.

His spitting up has reached a fever pitch, so Dr. Z increased his Zantac dosage a bit. Fingers crossed this will reduce the amount of laundry we do in this household!

He weighs 12 lbs 10 oz. This is 35th percentile for weight. (They didn't get his length this time, so I think later today I'll measure him on my own.) Last time he was weighed he was 58th percentile, but he was also getting some formula then, and formula fed babies are a bit beefier than breastfed babes. Dr. Z wasn't concerned, and noted that Leo is just a "long and lean guy."

He's a growing boy!

I took Leo to the doctor today because he has a little bit of reflux. We got him a prescription for Zantac and he also got a couple of his shots. (I currently am following Dr. Sears' alternative vaccination schedule, but I have to research it a little more before I know if we'll stick with it.)

The most exciting part of his appointment was finding out his growth!

At his last appt, 12/29, here is where he was:
Weight - 8 lbs. 1.5 oz - 26% percentile
Length - 21" - 81%

As of today:
Weight - 11 lbs. 5.7 oz - 58% percentile
Length - 22.5" - 51% percentile (Though he was squirmy when she did it, he might have another half inch. When we did it at home he was 23, and that was a week or so ago!)
