In other news, Leo got his bottom right tooth on June 28th and his bottom left tooth today, July 1st! They are barely visible (mostly because he blows raspberries and screams bloody murder if you try to look at them), but they are there!
He is a big fan of the following: yogurt, peaches, blueberries, apples, pears, mangoes, bananas, and sweet potatoes. He kinda likes squash, and after several tries I got him to like peas. Turkey is still a no-go.
Today - about an hour ago - he said "mama." He was in his high chair and I was in the kitchen getting him a teething "cookie," and when I walked back over to his high chair he looked at me and said "mama"! I couldn't get him to re-create it, but he did it.

Look how big they've both gotten! Did you get a new stroller?
Yay for the new teeth! I'm sure they will show up in a smile photo very soon.
I noticed in the videos that Leo does the "mmmmm" sound really well. It's a little early for him to be saying words but he's getting practice making sounds sounds and soon "Mama" will be one he'll repeat often and with meaning. ;-)
Both Vince and Lisa said "Dada" first as a real word -- I think it is the easier word for most babies to say.
It's so exciting to see all Leo's milsstones! We miss him so much.
wow! first teeth AND first word - what a big boy!!
I know, he is growing up so fast, Laura! Sometimes I want to just push the pause button!
Pat - Leo isn't very good at /b/ or /d/. He's very good at /m/, /n/, /h/ and /g/. He likes to do things differently than most babies. ;)
I know it's too early for his first "word" to have any meaning, but it was still pretty special for him to say "mama" right as I walked over.
We did get a new stroller, it's awesome!
awesome! i can't believe he said mama! :) i know what you mean about the pause button...
what a big guy!
(ps- i deleted the first comment because it had a typo. it basically said the same thing as this one) :)
